Welcome to an incredibly organic approach to digital painting.
In this webinar you'll learn Heather's unique layered approach for her "fractured realism" portraits heavily inspired by artist Christian Hook and Stanka Kordic. She'll be using brushes from her own packs but showing techniques applicable in Corel Painter 2020 and 2021. This process applies beautifully to painting portraits of people, as well! Learn the balance between cloning and free hand application in this technique. You'll be able to control how wild you want to fracture the artwork with your layers or stay defined in realism with heavy brushwork.
Please note this is NOT a beginner course.
A basic understanding and comfortable level of navigating Painter's cloning, brushes, and layers are required. If you need to catch up on those, you can find that in Intro to Painter 2018, Painting the Classical Portrait, and if you really want to prepare (which isn't necessary), Brayers and Wax tutorial. Heather will show you the basic setup for the Brayers and Wax method in this webinar.
This webinar shows the process of painting this Arabian and includes the high resolution guide portrait.

You'll discover the number one reason that's restricting your paintings in the "too photographic" zone!

You'll learn how to control the level of abstraction in this webinar.

These techniques also apply to painting portraits!
