For prints 14" and larger cinematic retouching is included! All portraits will be available with gorgeous color correction ready for display but you can opt to take it a step further with award winning artist Heather's retouching. Choose from natural retouching with or full "John Wick" styling.

On June 28 - July 1, 2024 you have an exclusive opportunity to have a custom piece of art crafted of you and your firearm in the aesthetic of John Wick. Heather will set up a full studio at the Range of Ballantyne in gelling several lights akin to the posters of John Wick 3.

Absolutely NO live ammunition will be permitted in the studio space. All firearms and magazines must be unloaded and shown "clear" before the RSO and Heather prior to the portrait session.

Once your portraits are made, Heather will send an online gallery approximately 2-3 weeks after your session. You will have the opportunity to order artisan quality prints, acrylic blocks, acid free cards, and even high resolution downloads. Heather's cinematic retouching will be available to prints 14" and larger.

How does this work?

First, you'll need to be approved as a member of the Range of Ballantyne or the Range of Lake Norman by filling out the form above. This can take up to 24 hours to validate.

Then, once this is validated, you'll be emailed an online calendar where you'll pick your mini session during one of the 15 minute sessions June 28-July 1, 2024.

On your scheduled day, show up 15 minutes ahead of your session time to verify all firearms and magazines are clear in your best John Wick suit or in full kit on the day of your portrait. You are welcome to be photographed with or without firearm OR have the firearm photographed solo (sessions are limited to time).

Heather will photograph you (or your firearm) in several poses and email you a private gallery of your images within 2-3 weeks.

You'll be able to choose your favorite 3 images to download high resolution files (un-retouched). 

You'll then be able to select additional images to download or purchase artisan quality prints which will be delivered directly to you. Please note shipping times vary depending on the product. All products are shipping from the USA.

How much is the mini session?

$99, and includes 3 high resolution downloads from your private online gallery. You can share this gallery with friends and family for up to six months.

Do I have to dress up like John Wick?

No! You can be in a suit, a t shirt, or not even be in the portrait! You can simply bring in your favorite unloaded firearm(s) ready for their photograph. Please note if you will not be in the portrait when you sign up on the calendar.

Can I do that cool photo where I'm pointing the muzzle at the camera?

No. Sorry. I'm asking everyone in the portrait room to abide by the universal safety rules at all times. You may not flag the camera. However, the posing that I'll be setting up will be dynamic so you'll have plenty of options!

Can I purchase more downloads or prints?

Absolutely! Investments start at $25 and will be shipped directly to you.

Can I invite friends to look at my gallery?

Yes! You'll have the option to share your gallery with friends and family when it publishes! Your gallery will be available for six months.

What does retouching mean?

The photographs you'll view in your online gallery will be perfectly color corrected for the aesthetic but it can be taken a step further into artistic retouching. Heather's extensive history includes over 20 years of award winning high end retouching for photographers all over the world. Retouching is available for prints 14" and larger.

What can I do with my downloads?

You're welcome to print your own files with your downloads. They come with a standard, personal print release. However, the files may not be used for commercial use without expressed, written permission and licensing from Heather Michelle Chinn. This means you may not re-sell the files in any manner. Heather owns the copyright. Use them on social media, or as your headshot, on your website, or for personal use. The high resolution files will print up to 16".

Do I need to order prints?

You're not required to. The labs I use are the highest quality and offer acid free, artisan quality products that are otherwise unavailable to the general public. Please, for the love of all that is good, do NOT take your downloads to a large box store for printing.

What happens if I get sick or something insane occurs where I can't make my mini session?

I get it. Life happens. Contact me asap and I'll try my best to figure it out.

Can I have my portrait made if I'm not a member of the Range of Ballantyne or Lake Norman?

Sorry, you're excommunicado. This opportunity is only for members of the Range of Ballantyne or Lake Norman (so renew that membership!)!

If I am prone to seizures can I have my portrait taken?

No. Multiple strobes will be used. This is not a healthy idea.
