A Marriage of Aesthetics and Brushwork

In the seventh grade, everything changed.

Calligraphy was a mandatory course and little did Heather know it would birth a life long love for lettering. While her classmates complained about the tedious requirement, she dove in with delight and for weeks had marked hands for left-handed calligraphers tended to smear their ink.

Years passed and she pursued her first love, painting. Her chunky, textural form of brushwork found it's way into her calligraphy and a contemporary lettering was born. Pairing her personality as a free spirit with her love for balanced design and intrigue in human dynamics, Heather Michelle now divides her time between oil painting, mentoring creatives in painting, and designing lettering. With careful consideration, almost meditative, Heather specializes in infusing the persona of her clients into their logo design. When appropriate, a hint of her inner "vampire" may be seen in her brushwork.
